Welcome to my new blog! I plan on the content of this blog to be for current and prospective cross country athletes. This blog will prepare you for what it takes to run cross country, and explain the amazing benefits that can be gained by going for it. Of course the more the merrier...
I am passionate about the endurance lifestyle. I spend many hours in my own head training, reading about endurance, and listening to podcasts about endurance. I often times come away with cool insights that I want to share with the team. However, I often forget before the next practice, or we are too focused on the work at hand for me to sidetrack practice with a lecture, or we are out of season altogether. I am also not the best communicator. Me no talk pretty. Usually when I’m spewing words, I feel like I’m not accurately expressing my thoughts. I think that having time to reflect and edit will help. Lastly, I want members of the team, and anyone thinking about joining, to get to know me better as a person, and have a better understanding of my training philosophy. Some example ideas I have for post topics are how endurance training makes us better at life, nutrition for endurance, cross training and lifting, and stories from my personal experiences. My promise to you is that I will make my best effort to keep posts short and interesting. In order to achieve this though, I am going to need your help. So do you like this idea or not? Will you follow along or not? What topics would you like to discuss? Leave a comment below.
